Our Middle School

This is our middle school, a place where we study, live, and grow together. Inside this building, students pursue their studies, attend presentations, and participate in various workshops. But this house isn’t just about academic learning: it’s also a space where we learn to live together as a community.
Here, students cook, clean, maintain the building, participate in community meetings, and organize events. This unique setting fosters the development of a variety of skills while strengthening a sense of responsibility, collaboration, and community.

An example of a mind map created at the beginning of the term by teenagers, aimed at guiding their studies and academic work. This approach fosters an explosion of ideas, encourages an interdisciplinary approach, and serves as a springboard for exploring new avenues. It also helps structure reflections while opening the possibility of calling on experts to explore certain topics in greater depth. This fundamental step marks the launch of the study plan and work for the term.
Here’s an example of our schedule, which may vary depending on the time of year and the different instructors. Independent work sessions allow students to progress on their personal research project or to get ahead with their homework. These sessions are supervised by adults present to accompany and support them. Presentations on new methods or concepts may also be offered. Adolescents then have time to put these concepts into practice, either independently or with the help of an adult. This schedule remains flexible to meet the needs of adolescents and the ups and downs of life.
